The assault caused the temporary shutdown of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the T3 parking area.

Two more people have been arrested related to a theft at London's Heathrow Airport where over twenty individuals sustained injuries by a substance believed to be pepper spray, according to police.

A 24-year-old man, was arrested in the Lambeth area on suspicion of theft and assault and a woman, 23 was arrested on suspicion of conspiring to commit a robbery. Both individuals are still being held, the force said.

These detentions follow a probe into an attack at the multi-storey car park at Terminal 3 on Sunday. Prior to the attack, a pair of female travelers had stolen from them their suitcases after getting out of a parking garage elevator.

A three-year-old girl was one of the those hurt in the event. A total of five individuals were taken to the hospital for treatment and were later discharged.

Officers detained a 31-year-old man on suspicion of robbery and assault close to the scene. He has since been released under investigation as the investigation proceeds.

Police were called at about 8:10 in the morning GMT after reports came in regarding several individuals hurt by an irritating chemical believed to be an irritant spray.

The attack - which police said was a standalone incident and not being treated as an act of terror - resulted in delays to rail services and the partial closure of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the T3 parking facility for a short time.
